Alexia Buschow

Founder, Lunch Queens

Life wasn’t always easy for Alexis when she was growing up. But no matter the circumstances, Alexis and her family always had food even if they needed a little help from the local Food Bank. As Alexia says, “it was always my mother's mission to make sure we were well fed. A full belly equalled learning and productivity in school.”

Going through those tough times growing up, and now being a busy mother herself, has made Alexia realize there is a huge need for healthy, affordable, and convenient lunches for kids in schools. She wants to change the way kids view nutritious foods and make it fun and simple for everyone.

Our kids will be the future generations, let's make them healthy one lunch at a time.

Nicole Dekok

Founder, Lunch Queens

Nicole is the mother of 4 amazing children, aged 3 - 18 years old. Over the years she has held a variety of different jobs and volunteered with many different schools and ages, from kindergarten to grade 12.

Recognizing the huge need in our growing community for fresh, healthy, and convenient lunches for our kids, she started Lunch Queens with the dream to fill this need and help as many parents as she can. For the last 2 years, Nicole has been an executive PAC member, giving her insight on what’s needed to help accommodate busy families and overburdened schools.

Her drive is her family’s future; being able to help support her family’s needs, while helping others to do the same. She wants Lunch Queens to be something that families rely on to feed their children in the healthiest, fun way possible. Importantly, Nicole wants to show her children that success is built from hard work and dedication.
